The municipality of Hornafjörður Municipality has started a revision of the development plan and has now published a project description, which presents which environmental and planning matters will be discussed in the review. The work process is also described and how the presentation and consultation will be conducted.
The description is based on an assessment of the development that has occurred in the municipality since the current development plan was confirmed in 2014. It is also based on two workshops where representatives of the local government and the environment and planning committee, as well as municipality employees working in the main issue areas, discussed the municipality's challenges and opportunities in relation to environmental and planning issues.
Residents and other interested parties are now being consulted about whether the description covers all the environmental and planning issues that concern residents.
Residents and other stakeholders are encouraged to read the description and send suggestions and viewpoints regarding its content through the Planning Agency's planning portal before June 10th 2023.
The promotion of the description is according to Paragraph 1 Article 30 Planning Act and Article 14 act on environmental assessment of projects and plans
