The Environment and Planning Committee of the Municipality of Hornafjörður is in charge of the review.

The committee is assisted by a five-member steering committee, which includes representatives from each list, as well as the mayor and the director of the environment and planning department.

The steering group prepares individual issues of the review for discussion and processing by the environment and planning committee and then the town council.

Members of the steering group are: 

Ásgerður K. Gylfadóttir, Elías Tjörvi Halldórsson, Hjördís Edda Olgeirsdóttir, Sigurjón Andrésson and Brynja Dögg Ingólfsdóttir

The municipality's project manager is Brynja Dögg Ingólfsdóttir, environment and planning manager. She is assisted by Jóhanna Íris Ingólfsdóttir, an expert in the field of environment and planning.
